LMUD SYSTEM WIDE OUTAGE- OCTOBER 30

KWH member, James Forbes, slammed LMUD General Manager for the inaccurate statements made about the "system wide power outage".

Neither the LMUD General Manager of the LMUD Chief Engineer knew anything about the power outage on October 30, 2003.

The new Public Benefit Fund employee was given the task of reporting, to the public, about the system wide power outage. She gave an inaccurate and incomplete story to the public. This is not entirely her fault, since she has no background in the industry.

LMUD THREATENS POWER OUTAGES

KWH predicted that power outages would come and come frequently.

At 8:05 AM, PGE responded to the LMUD system wide power outage and found that there was nothing wrong with PGE's equipment. There was a power surge at 8:05 AM, this morning and a LMUD breaker went out. LMUD reported that they did not know what the problem was.....WHY DID LMUD NOT KNOW WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS  AND PGE DID ?

This breaker, at the substation in Westwood, caused a LMUD system wide power outage.  

LMUD wasted the money for our electrical system upgrades and they have the power, literally, to pull the plug on us.  They want to be able to continue their wasteful ways, their huge salaries and million dollar benefits. 

LMUD management has decided to show us that they have the power to blackmail the ratepayers with frequent power outages. 

LMUD did this at 8:05 AM , October 30, 2003

LMUD is crying all of a sudden that the LMUD system is falling apart and we are in a power crises.  

LMUD borrowed $7,785,000 in 2000 to do upgrades to the system. All but a million is left, and no upgrades were done. 

 LMUD used it for Bail-Out money

They will ask for a RATE INCREASE only because they cannot get themselves out of this financial disaster.
