LMUD SYSTEM WIDE OUTAGE- OCTOBER 30, 2003
KWH member, James Forbes, slammed LMUD General Manager for the inaccurate statements made about the "system wide power outage".
Neither the LMUD General Manager of the LMUD Chief Engineer knew anything about the power outage on October 30, 2003.
The new Public Benefit Fund employee was given the task of reporting, to the public, about the system wide power outage. She gave an inaccurate and incomplete story to the public. This is not entirely her fault, since she has no background in the industry.
WHERE WAS EVELENE TWITCHELL????
WHERE WAS CHUCK LUSKY??????
PG&E was at the Westwood substation within ten minutes. LMUD trucks were never seen at the site of the outage.
LMUD reported that a "skidder" hit a line, but it was a log loader. But why would LMUD know anything.
Lassen Power, in Westwood, continued to pump power into the same lines without any interruptions.
An antiquated LMUD breaker caused the problem. If the equipment had been replaced years ago, no power outage would have occurred. PGE lines handled the problem, LMUD's equipment failed due to LMUD's management spending money on "fluff" rather than attending to business and replacing old equipment that was identified years earlier as inadequate...............
LMUD- STOP BUYING NEW COMPUTERS FOR STAFF, ADDING SECRETARIES FOR EACH MANAGEMENT PERSON, NEW PHONES FOR STAFF, INCREASED BENEFITS FOR STAFF, HUGE AND UNREASONABLE LEGAL EXPENSES. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.............................
WHERE DID THE "CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT " MONEY GO?
$7.7 MILLION DOLLARS?????
