City of Susanville Wins The Forbes Lawsuit
Forbes Appeal was thrown-out: "Nonappealable"
Jim Forbes filed a lawsuit, early in 2004, against the City of Susanville, Chief Gallagher and Officer Jordan, for various acts, after Forbes fight, with Lassen County Times Reporter Bill Noonberg, at a LMUD meeting on February 18, 2003. Forbes lost this case and filed an appeal. The Court of Appeal deemed the appeal "nonappealable".
The Third Appellate Court ordered Forbes to pay for the City of Susanville's costs.
